Our 6th-8th grade students stepped back in time on September 29th for an incredible walking tour of Historic Downtown Wilmington! 🗺️📜

Our middle schoolers explored the American Revolutionary War history right in our own backyard, learning about the 18th-century importance of the Lower Cape Fear region.

Highlights of the tour included:
• Historic Landmarks: Visiting Wilmington’s oldest standing building (circa 1740), the DuBois-Boatwright House, and the Burgwin-Wright House.
• Local Patriots: Exploring the city's earliest public burial ground to see the final resting place of Cornelius Harnett.
• Revolutionary Tales: Learning about Great Britain’s grand military plans, the British occupation of 1781, and the legendary "Midnight Ride of Polly Slocumb."

Thank you to our amazing staff and our tour guide for making local history come alive! Ask your student what their favorite stop was! 🎒✨

🔴🟡🔵 Make Your Mark! 🟢🟣⚫

Get ready to make your mark!

On Tuesday, September 15th, our school is celebrating International Dot Day! Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' beloved book The Dot, this special day encourages students and staff to explore creativity, courage, and self-expression. It all starts with a simple dot, but the possibilities are endless!

👕 The Challenge: Everyone wear your favorite polka dots, circle patterns, dotted accessories, or homemade dot designs to school!

Let’s fill our hallways with color, creativity, and confidence. We can't wait to see your amazing outfits!

📸 Don't forget to snap a photo and post it in the comments below!

🔴🟡🔵 ¡Deja tu marca! 🟢🟣⚫
