🎻 Tomorrow night, something special is happening in Wilmington.

The UNCW Community Music Academy Summer Music Camp wraps up its fourth day tomorrow — and we are celebrating in style.

Join us Thursday, June 11 at 5:00 PM at the UNCW Cultural Arts Building, Beckwith Hall for our Faculty Recital featuring one of the most extraordinary violinists performing today — Hye-Jin Kim.

First Prize winner at the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition at just 19 years old. Performed at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Kennedy Center. Soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, BBC Concert Orchestra.

And tomorrow — right here in Wilmington, with our campers on stage alongside her.

Half of our Summer Camp students will perform as the accompanying orchestra for Bach's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in A minor — a moment these young musicians will remember for the rest of their lives.

The evening also features a stunning clarinet and harp duo by faculty artists Laura York and Alyssa Hall.

🎟️ Free and open to the public. Bring your friends. Bring your neighbors. Come early.

The concert runs approximately 40 minutes and will leave you smiling.
