Proudly offering an educational and cultural experience for students who learn differently.

Centreville Layton School’s program is designed to meet the individual needs of children and adolescents who learn differently. Numerous challenges to the learning process can interfere with a child’s ability to succeed in a large, traditional classroom. Our students build skill sets and develop learning strategies so they can overcome challenges and achieve academically and thrive socially.

Our Lower School Spring Concert was a sweet celebration of music and community. Students shared songs, showed off their ukulele skills, and performed a special tribute song in honor of Tairen McCollister, who passed earlier this year.

We’re so proud of our students and thankful to everyone who joined us for this meaningful afternoon.

Our Casino Royale Prom was filled with elegance, laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories. Students enjoyed casino-style games, a caricature artist, beautiful henna art, and so many special touches throughout the evening.

We also celebrated a major milestone for our school community by introducing our very first Prom Court and crowning our first Prom King and Queen!

Our Walk-A-Thon was a huge success! Students walked lap after lap to earn tickets for prize drawings, all while helping raise money to support Student Government activities and events. We were also treated to some original music by our own Upper School students!

There’s nothing better than sharing the joy of reading together! Our Lower School students loved spending time with their reading buddies, as older students took turns reading with some of our youngest students. Moments like these build confidence, connection, and a love of learning across every grade level!

From bold colors to thoughtful details, our students’ original artwork took center stage at this year’s art show. Families explored each piece while joining in on a fun scavenger hunt, adding an extra layer of curiosity and discovery to the evening. A special thank you to our art teacher, Ms. Patterson!

Our students stepped into the role of young scientists during a hands-on “Bio Blitz” adventure—exploring, observing, and documenting the living world all around them. With a scavenger hunt twist, they tracked everything from plants to tiny creatures, building awareness of the incredible biodiversity right on our campus.
