What would you do if your Principal told you the future of your Salesianum career depended on finding a long-lost treasure hidden somewhere on campus? That is the premise behind "The Salesian Treasure Hunt," an original short film created by Mr. Ben Drake's Spring Film II students. The film follows Ronan Haggerty '26 as he navigates secret clues, mysterious locations, growing suspicion from his friends, and a treasure hunt that takes viewers across some of the most interesting corners of Salesianum. Written, filmed, and edited by students, the project showcases the creativity, collaboration, and storytelling skills developed in our Arts & Innovation Department. Watch the full film and see if you can solve the mystery before Ronan does!

At the Baccalaureate Mass for the Class of 2026, senior Joseph Conley reflected on the people, experiences, and faith that have shaped his class throughout their years at Salesianum. His message reminded his classmates that the greatest gift of their time at the House of Sales was not found in achievements, accolades, or accomplishments, but in the relationships they built, the faith they shared, and the men they became along the way.
As the Class of 2026 is sent to begin the next chapter of their lives, Joe's words served as a powerful reminder that the Brotherhood they experienced here does not end at graduation, and that they are called to carry the spirit of Salesianum into the world wherever they go.

Some members of the Salesianum community never attend class, never take a test, and somehow still become some of the most beloved members of our school. Today we celebrate the 7th birthday of Dewey, one of our two school dogs!
Whether he's greeting students in the hallways, stopping by classrooms, attending events, or spending time running the halls with his best friend Louie, Dewey has become a familiar and welcome presence at 18th & Broom.
Join us in wishing Dewey a very happy birthday and thanking both Dewey and Louie for the joy, comfort, and countless laughs they bring to our community.
Happy Birthday, Dewey! ๐พ ๐

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. For many teenage boys, mental health challenges are real, even when they are not always visible. According to the CDC, more than one in four male high school students report persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness, nearly one in five report struggles with their mental health, and roughly 13% report thoughts of su***de. These realities remind us that supporting the whole person remains an essential part of Salesianum.
At Salesianum, formation extends beyond the classroom. Through the Hynansky Wellness Center and the daily relationships students build with trusted adults and peer counselors, we strive to create a community where young men are known, supported, and encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Mental health resources are provided in various ways to our students, which is also supported by the SL24: UnLocke the Light Foundation.
This month serves as a reminder that caring for one's mental and emotional well-being is not separate from becoming the man God calls us to be. It is part of the journey.
