The Wilmington Public Library District announces that candidate election packets for the Library Board of Trustees are now available.

Individuals interested in running for a seat on the Wilmington Public Library District Board of Trustees may obtain a candidate packet at:

Candidate packets include the necessary information and forms for individuals seeking to be placed on the ballot.

Interested candidates are encouraged to pick up a packet and review all filing requirements and deadlines carefully.

Did you know you can return Libby checkouts early? If you finish a title before the due date, you can opt to return the title before the due date and the next person in line will get it sooner. This can help long waits be a little shorter. If you have any questions about Libby, please give us a call or swing by and see us!

Good news! Our trusty annex building, The Drop, is up and running again! If you need PC/internet access, air printing, or need to pick up items (if you are a locker patron), come on by!

If you need an outlet for charging, please visit our gorgeous patio!

The main library will open again at 9:00am
tomorrow, due to library staff still dealing with tree limbs on houses and flooded basements. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

We will not be charging fines for items that are due during our closure! We would much rather you stay safe at home than put yourself in danger to return your late DVDs.

Fossil Ridge Library in Braidwood is open today! They do not have public internet, but they do have power. So if you are in need of a charging station, or just need somewhere cool to sit for a while, please feel free to visit them today.

**Special Update** Due to downed power lines and a blown transformer very nearby, we will be closed again today.
We hope to have power and internet restored sometime tomorrow for all of your library needs, but we will keep you updated as best we can just in case. Please be careful out there!
