Where in the world is sales?🤔

This week, Raymond Rivera Kuilan touched down in Chile for CISA (Congreso International de Simulación Avanzada) in coordination with Link USS Centro de Simulación Avanzada! ✈️

We're excited to connect with simulation leaders, share what’s new at VRpatients, and learn more about the future of healthcare simulation in Chile.🇨🇱

If you're at CISA, be sure to say hello to Ray!👋

Clinical care rarely happens in a quiet, empty room. In the field or at the bedside, healthcare professionals must manage anxious bystanders, communicate with colleagues, and navigate scene dynamics while treating their patient.
With ' newest release, educators can now populate Multi-Character Scenarios with a Virtual Interactive Person (VIP).

Assign customizable roles, each featuring distinct animations, dialogue, and AI-driven reactions. Challenge your learners to read the room, flex their communication skills, and manage the scene before they ever step into a real clinical environment.

Release 11 is here and with it comes multi-character simulation, adding increased realism to patient care dynamics.

“This update expands simulation beyond clinical tasks and procedures by giving learners meaningful opportunities to communicate, collaborate, and advocate within complex patient-care situations. These skills are often underdeveloped in traditional education, yet they are essential to safe, effective care. Learners can now practice them in a supportive environment where it is safe to struggle, reflect, and improve before entering the clinical setting," said Paul Mazurek, RN, BSN, M.Ed., CCRN, CFRN, CHSE-A, NRP and VRpatients Nursing and EMS Specialist.

With Release 11, VRpatients now allows educators to add a second interactive character to simulations, including a family member, colleague, bystander, instructor, or other customizable role.

Each character brings unique dialogue, emotions, animations, and reactions to the encounter, giving learners more opportunities to manage the room or scene.

Last week, our Customer Success Specialist Paul Mazurek visited Emergency Medical Services at Kellogg Community College to see how faculty and students are using in real time.

The KCC team highlighted the value of our web-based experience as an accessible, user-friendly option for practice and repetition, alongside fully immersive VR simulation. With both web and headset-based experiences available, educators can choose which option their students use for each learning objective.

Thank you to Larry Wagner, Tyler Webb, Hunter Johnson, and the entire KCC team for sharing your insights!

Feeling energized after SimOps last week in Tampa, hosted by Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Our own Tyler Matthews and Ray Rivera hosted a Q&A that ran a full hour, and what stood out wasn't just the interest in trying VR, it was how much educators wanted to understand it.

Where does it fit into an existing simulation program?
Can it stand in for clinical hours or standardized patients?
What does the research say, and where is this headed?
What about mental health education?

There's still a real knowledge gap around use cases, procedural/haptic capabilities, and implementation strategy, and educators are hungry to close it.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat with us! We are even more excited about where healthcare simulation is headed.
