Our studios offer private violin and viola lessons in both Suzuki and traditional methods of teaching. We also offer many solo recitals, group recitals, group lessons and community outreach. This page is a place that we can post pictures and videos from our events. It is also a place that we can share dates and reminders with our students and their families and friends who want to attend concerts and community events that we are performing at.

Before lesson one, I tell every family the same thing:
You are the most important teacher your child has. You were their first teacher!
I’ll guide you both in the technique, I’ll build up the foundation. But the magic happens at home: in the 10-minute practice sessions, the listening in the car, the “play it for Grandma” moments.
Suzuki isn’t just a method. It’s a partnership. And I’m so grateful for every family that shows up ready for that. Seeing the partnership bloom is one of my favorite parts about being a Suzuki teacher.

Another performance class week for the books! We love that our students get to perform solos at least twice every year. “Post It Note Week” is everyone’s favorite and we love watching our Suzuki family support each other.

This week we spent time sharing our gifts with others. We spent an afternoon making cards to give when we played. Then we visited Brightmore, the mall, the Woods at Holly Tree and the Good Shepard Center. It’s our favorite week of the year.

Community outreach week is officially our favorite week of the year. Spreading holiday joy and sharing the gift of music to our community was the best!

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing(playing) loud for all to hear.”
We spend the past 2 days giving back to our community. We did our first community outreach week with the studio and it was amazing.
Monday started with lunch and card making at Double Happiness. The kids and parents got in touch with their inner visual artist and made over 100 cards to give out to all of the people we played for. We then went to the Woods at Holly Tree to share with the residents and wrapped the evening up at the Good Shephard Center to play some dinner music.
Tuesday we started at Porter’s Neck Village playing for their residents, met at the mall for lunch in the food court and then moved to the middle of the mall to play for Santa 🎅🏻(and everyone else that was there!).
What an incredible week sharing our gifts with the community that has supported us for 25+ years. This is why we do what we do and makes our hearts so full.
Ms Anne and Ms Shelly are officially exhausted. Happy holidays!!

Hey there, young music lovers! Have you ever been to a concert and wondered what it would be like to play an instrument yourself? Well, we have a fantastic opportunity for you! Before our Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery concert on February 26th, we are hosting a Pre-Concert Arts Fair in the lobby of the Wilson Center at 2:30 PM.

You can touch, hold, and play instruments like violins, cellos, drums, and even brass and woodwinds at the Arts Fair! It's a hands-on experience that will let you create music and get a feel for what it's like to play an instrument. But that's not all! At the Arts Fair, you can interact with organizations that support the arts in the Cape Fear Region, like Ronald Sachs Violins , Stevenson-Stohl Suzuki Studio, Kindermusik with Sarah, Brooklyn Arts Music Academy, Music Bird Studios, and New Hanover County Public Library.

So come to the Pre-Concert Arts Fair and let your inner musician shine! It's a great way to try new things and create memories that will last a lifetime. We can't wait to see you there!
