Just In from Mr. Tharp: We are pleased to report that the Cab Calloway School of the Arts Marching Band is the newly crowned 2021 Tournament of Bands Group 4 Atlantic Coast Champions.

We believe we are the first Delaware Band to achieve this honor since 1991.

We congratulate all of the students from both CCSA and CSW put in hundreds of hours of hard work. We congratulate Mr. Tharp for his endless commitment and to our band parents/booster club. This is a memory of a lifetime for them. Red Clay Consolidated School District

Alumni Update: Mace Hill, Cab Class of 2014 - After graduating, Mace planned on pursuing nursing, but quickly figured out that it was not the right path. After a few years of working, Mace abruptly decided to move to Brooklyn, NY where they are now pursuing vegan culinary. Mace has been working on creating recipes completely from scratch in hopes of opening a restaurant one day. Once everything becomes safe again, Mace plans on showcasing their food at local pop up shops and farmers markets.

Along with chasing their passion, Mace also found their true identity along the way. Mace is a non-binary, trans masculine person. What that means is Mace does not identify as a man or woman. Mace’s pronouns are They/Them. Since Mace is undergoing HRT, Mace is achieving more of a masculine appearance. But that doesn’t necessarily mean Mace, or anyone has to conform to societies perception of gender. Mace is grateful for being able share a bit of their story with the Cab community. Here’s to Mace Hill, Class of 2014!
