Jacqueline, a Delaware Military Academy graduate, presented classrooms at Kuumba Academy Charter School and Thomas Edison Charter School with countless items that students will benefit from throughout this school year.

Delaware currently has 36,135 children actively participating in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, receiving a free, age-appropriate book in the mail each month from birth to age 5.

For families, each new book creates another opportunity to read together, build a home library and make reading part of everyday life. These early experiences help children develop language, vocabulary and literacy skills that prepare them for learning in school.

Because when children have access to books from their earliest years, they have more opportunities to build the skills and love of reading that support future learning.
