Last week we welcomed guest teacher Mary LeGere back to City Ballet. Mary has been guest teaching at our summer intensives the past many years and we always love having her here. Thank you Mary for sharing your knowledge and attention to detail!

This week (Week 5) and next week (Week 6) our summer intensive students work with our phenomenal full time faculty. Week 7 (August 3-7) we welcome back guest teacher Arron Scott for a second week to close out the summer. If you missed him earlier in the summer, you will definitely want to sign up for this week! Our students saw tremendous progress working with him and loved his challenging and positive classes.

Thank you to our Week 3 guest teacher, Ashley Hathaway, for your wonderful and inspiring instruction! It was a wonderful way to finish off the first half of our summer intensive. After a couple week break, we will return for four more weeks of summer intensive!! Guest teachers to come: Mary LeGere (Week 4) and Arron Scott (Week 7) ☀️ The students have made such progress in the first three weeks, we cannot wait to see where the next four weeks take them!

Some captures from Week 2 with Arron Scott! Our students saw incredible improvement this past week working with Arron (former soloist with American Ballet Theatre and current faculty The Washington Ballet). We were receiving rave reviews from the students. Not only did they value Arron’s expertise and wonderful instruction but they loved his kindness in class and his attention to all students. Values that are important to us here at City Ballet. We are looking forward to having Arron back in the City Ballet studios for Week 7 (Aug 3-7)! Thank you Arron Scott !

Also a big thanks to SEDA for providing an overflow studio for us for these past two weeks so we could allow for as many students as possible to take from Jan and Arron! Lynn Raley
