AUDITION FOR THE HONORS BRASS QUINTET
High school students will have the opportunity to rehearse in a chamber setting and be coached by UNCW faculty members, culminating in a performance during the UNCW Brass Day Final Concert. This group is assigned by audition. Audition tapes must be submitted on the Brass Day registration form. The deadline to submit audition tapes for consideration is November 8th at 11:59 P.M. Audition and participation in the Honors Brass Quintet is not required for general participation in other Brass Day events.

The UNCW Trumpet Studio is excited to host Mr. Clark Lovell of Musician Unchained over Zoom to discuss injury prevention and musician's wellness. Mr. Lovell is a leading voice in the sphere of musician's health and has coached brass musicians across the country.

All UNCW brass students are invited to attend this lecture. It will be held in CAB 1059 on Monday, October 13th, at 1:00 PM.

What an awesome week of trumpet at the International Trumpet Guild Conference! Dr. Luebke-Brown was on staff for the event and student Alison Loftis came out to meet some of her heroes, including Summer Camargo 😯

We were so fortunate to have Carolina Brass on campus last weekend. We learned so much from these phenomenal musicians!

Congratulations to these young musicians for an incredible semester of music making! This past Friday, they performed an inspiring final concert of the semester with the UNCW Symphonic Band. They were even joined by Dr. Luebke-Brown for an exciting performance of Kevin McKee's "Centennial Horizons".

You won't want to miss this event!
