VIKINGS WIN! 28–12!

What a way to start the season! On Thursday, our Vikings earned their first football victory of the season with a mighty 28–12 win over First State Military!

As a small school, our Beacon on the Hill is often seen as the underdog. But on Thursday, our Vikings showed exactly what it means to fight, persevere, and never give up.

Battling through injuries, the heat, and heat exhaustion, our team dug deep and fought until the final whistle. Their determination, teamwork, and Viking spirit carried them to an incredible victory!

We are so proud of our players and coaches for showing that heart, grit, and determination can never be counted out.

Way to go, Vikings! What a WIN!

LET’S GO VIKINGS!

Some wins look impressive on a stat sheet.

Fifth Grade STEM Challenge!

Today, Ms. Lisowski’s fifth grade class worked on their very first experiment of the year! Students worked in groups to design and build their very own bridges.

Now comes the exciting part! On Tuesday, we will put their bridges to the test to see just how many pennies each bridge can hold.

We can’t wait to see which bridge will be the strongest! What a fun way to put teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills into action!

We opened our school year this week with our Opening School Mass, a beautiful opportunity for our St. Elizabeth community to come together in faith and prayer.

This year, we are excited to introduce a new Prayer Buddy Program, pairing our middle and high school students with our Preschool through 4th grade students.

This program creates a wonderful opportunity for our students to build meaningful relationships across grade levels. It encourages our older students to demonstrate accountability, responsibility, leadership, and kindness as they serve as role models for our Little Vikings. At the same time, our younger students have the opportunity to look up to and connect with their older Viking brothers and sisters.

Most importantly, this program helps us strengthen the feeling that we are one school, one family, and one community, from our youngest Vikings to our seniors.

As we move forward into this new school year, may God continue to watch over each and every one of us, guide our students and faculty, and keep our St. Elizabeth School community safe and blessed throughout the year.

One Viking family. One faith. One community. ❤️💛

🩺 Our Medical Pathways program is taking off this year at St. Elizabeth!

Under the guidance of Mrs. O’Connor, our Medical Pathways teacher and school trainer, students are getting the opportunity to learn both textbook medical education and terminology as well as valuable hands-on clinical skills.

This week, students practiced some of their very first clinical skills, including proper handwashing, ambulation using a gait belt, checking vital signs, and manually assessing a patient’s radial pulse.

We are so excited to watch our students build confidence, develop real-world skills, and explore what a future in healthcare could look like. This is learning that goes beyond the classroom and puts students on a pathway toward their future!

The future healthcare professionals of St. Elizabeth are already getting to work! 🩺

So many exciting things are happening here at St. Elizabeth School this year!

We are thrilled to offer Technology and Typing to our students in grades 3 through 8. Throughout the year, students will build important technology skills, learn how to navigate the internet safely and effectively, develop research and typing skills, and so much more!

Today, Mrs. Donovan’s fifth graders jumped right in with a fun, interactive typing lesson. It was wonderful to see our students engaged, learning, and having fun while building skills they will use for years to come.

We can’t wait to see how quickly our Vikings become confident typists and technology experts!

Yesterday, Father Roger visited our elementary classrooms to bless our students, teachers, and classrooms as we begin a new school year.

He will continue throughout the building in the days ahead, visiting our preschool and high school classrooms as well.

We are so grateful for each and every one of our students and for the opportunity to begin another year together as a school community. May God bless our students, faculty, and families, and may He watch over and protect all of us throughout the school year.

Here’s to a blessed, safe, and wonderful year ahead for our Vikings!

Our Juniors and Seniors are getting to explore their artistic talents this semester with Mrs. Melissa Daley and her Art class!

Today, they were in full swing, beginning class with a fun morning doodle (and yes, that chicken deserves a little recognition!) before diving into their next assignment: learning the art of shading.

From simple doodles to developing new artistic techniques, our students are getting creative, learning new skills, and having fun along the way!

We can’t wait to see where their creativity takes them this semester!
