This video is to introduce the first essay in what I hope to be a series of essays to help people organize and build the skill of improving their maximum tolerable perception of effort thresholds in training. And I don’t necessarily mean to imply that’s a thing you can measure. It’s just meant to state that by improving your perceptual and attention capabilities, you can improve tolerance. This has been inspired by I guess what you could call the SBL for lack of a better term, but folks like (whom I owe a debt of gratitude , and others have really done a great job of explaining mechanisms of the relevant physiology separate from our cultural biases and interpretation of that same knowledge.
