On Tuesday, we celebrated a major milestone with our annual 'Accepted Interns Night'! A warm welcome to the Project SEARCH ChristianaCare class of 2027, where limitless possibilities await!

Our Speech Therapist, Ms. Liz handed out awards to our interns today! We are all so proud of the hard work you put in every single day here at Project SEARCH 👏🏼

We couldn't pick just one! Introducing our newest Intern(s) of the Month, Will and Caleef!
Will is a graduate from Thomas McKean High School, and the Meadowood Transition Program. He loves trains and telling us all about the weather. His hobbies include fishing with his dad and his brother, and he loves playing video games. Will has worked in Conference Support, the Equipment Room and now in Environmental Services. He can be found helping maintain the E tower Lobby and it's surrounding areas. Make sure you say "Hello" next time you see Will!
Caleef is also a graduate from Thomas McKean High School. He loves pizza, skittles and playing video games. His favorite movie is the Super Mario Movie, and enjoys spending time with his family. Caleef has worked in Maintenance, The Cancer Center and is now in HVIS Prep & Hold. Caleef is hard to miss, because he is so tall, but his kind personality and politeness is what truly sets him apart. Make sure you say "Hello" Next time you see Caleef!

Introducing our newest Intern of the Month, Michael Serio! Michael graduated from Thomas McKean High School and can currently be found working in Conference Support at the Ammon Center! Michael was also an intern in Maintenance as well as Patient Es**rt. Some of his favorite things include collecting Dragon Ball Z cards, watching anime, and playing games. His favorite color is red, and he enjoys eating seafood and steak. Please join us in congratulating Michael, and if you see him, say "Hello!".

Introducing our newest Intern of the Month, Yewande!
Yewande is a graduate of Odyssey Charter School, and is currently in her 2nd rotation in the Textiles department. She loves to spend time at home with her Mom, Dad and sister, and enjoys listening to music. Her favorite food is pasta and her favorite candy is starbursts. When she finishes Project SEARCH, Yewande hopes to get a job doing makeup.

Introducing our next Intern of the Month, Michael Fofie!
Michael is a graduate of Thomas McKean high school and is currently working in HVIS Prep & Holding. Michael loves art, and can often be found in his spare time, drawing in his sketchbook. His favorite food is a cheeseburger, and loves to listen to music and play video games. When he's not at Project SEARCH, he enjoys spending time at home with his 3 sisters and his dog. Michael loves anime, and hopes to work somewhere he can utilize being creative.

Introducing, our newest Intern of the Month, Nenette!
Nenette is a graduate of Thomas McKean High School, and just finished her first rotation in the PACU / Prep & Holding. Nenette enjoys spending time with her family and going on vacation in Wildwood NJ. Her favorite food is chicken nuggets and she loves white chocolate reeses cups. She loves playing video games, texting friends and listening to her favorite songs from K-Pop Demon Hunters. Nenette is looking forward to starting her second rotation at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, so make sure you say "Hello!" if you see her! Congrats Nenette!

Introducing our November Intern of the month, Mia Portuguez-Valle! Mia graduated from Thomas McKean high school and hopes to find a job at the hospital or at a store stocking and organizing. Her favorite candy is M&M's, loves pasta, enjoys coloring and doing puzzles and the color pink. She enjoys spending her time off with her mom, dad, sister and two dogs. She currently works in guest services and patient guide and can often be found helping people in the main lobby or E tower.

Introducing our October Intern of the Month, Brianna Hamilton!

Brianna is a graduate of Middletown High School, and the Meadowood Transition Program. She enjoys reading, dancing, singing and playing sports. Her favorite food is pizza, and she hopes to get a job working in the medical field or as a physical therapist. Brianna is currently working in Caregiver Health Services, patient guide and also Environmental Services in the Women's and Children's lobby.
