This summer I had the good fortune to travel to Kenya with my neighbor, Gladys. We visited Nyaturago D.E.B. school, to distribute school supplies I had brought from America. I was absolutely amazed at how joyfully my small gifts were received! This event was life-changing for me! It illustrated the power of sharing our abundance with others in need. It also emphasizes the power of education to change lives.

LESI renovations will be completed by the end of this month! Now we are making preparation to serve our clients! We are Very Excited!

LESI is a Proctor site for the Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment Certification Program.

LESI developed from a nightmare that spurred me to help borrowers avoid injury and death when they could not repay their loans. I promised God I would do whatever I could to avoid seeing that kind of suffering again.

Along my journey, I met many people that have a similar passion to help people regain their reentry into society and contribute to the community in healthy ways. Over time, my vision morphed into a desire to help Veterans and individuals in Reentry start their own businesses doing something they loved. That's very important to me because people experience more fulfillment in life when they create value for others by doing something they enjoy and do well. LESI helps entrepreneurs find profitability and fulfillment doing work they passionately choose to do.

We found two major obstacles for entrepreneurial Veterans and Returning Citizens to be business training and financial support. Therefore, LESI’s mission is to provide business training and microlending services. We will fulfill our vision and mission of providing rigorous training, financial services, and community support in a trauma-informed approaches environment.

We plan to open in June 2022!
