Backpacks are packed (hopefully 😉), lunches are ready, alarms are set… and a brand-new school year is about to begin!

The Partnership is so excited to welcome our students, teachers, staff, and families back to CFCI. 💙

Whether tomorrow is your very first first day at CFCI or you’ve done this many times before, we hope it’s the start of a year filled with curiosity, connection, growth, and lots of great memories. 🌱

We have so many fun things planned this year, and we can’t wait to bring our CFCI community together!

📣 We Need Room Parents! 💙
Many of our classrooms are still looking for Room Parents, and we’d love your help making this year a great one for our teachers, students, and families!

A Room Parent is an important connection between families, teachers, and the Partnership for CFCI. Room Parents help support teachers with needs that arise throughout the year, share important school and Partnership information, and help build a strong classroom community.

Room Parent responsibilities may include:

✨ Helping coordinate classroom volunteers

✨ Assisting with classroom parties and activities

✨ Communicating upcoming school events and fundraisers

✨ Helping organize donations for classroom needs or events

✨ Supporting Partnership efforts (such as Kidchella activities, raffle baskets, or sharing event information with families)

✨ Optionally helping coordinate teacher gifts during holidays or Teacher Appreciation Week (these gifts are appreciated but not required)

You don’t need to have a lot of extra time—just a willingness to help connect families and support your child’s classroom. 💙

We are cancelling the rest of popsicles in the park due to the weather.

Due to afternoon thunderstorms popsicles in the park will be ending at 4pm. All Middle schoolers are welcome from 3-4.

We also loved meeting so many amazing families at Open House! Thank you for stopping by, introducing yourselves, and sharing in the excitement for the year ahead. We can’t wait to continue building connections and creating fun, meaningful experiences for our students, teachers, and families.

✨ Look What We Accomplished Together! ✨

When our school community comes together, incredible things happen. Because of the support of our families, staff, volunteers, and community members, Partnership was able to make a meaningful impact across CFCI last year!

Together, we:
💙 Increased teacher stipends from $250 to $400.
🔬 Helped launch Science Olympiad.
🎭 Provided stipends for teachers leading after-school activities.
🎉 Hosted free family events for our CFCI community.
📚 Donated over $500 in books to classroom libraries.
🪑 Upgraded the front office furniture.
🎄 Contributed to the Angel Tree to support CFCI families.
💃 Hosted the Middle School Dance.
🎓 Awarded grants to teachers for continuing education.
⚽ Added new outdoor equipment for students.
🍎 Celebrated our incredible staff with monthly Teacher Appreciation events and an entire Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
🍿 Provided popcorn for the Turkey Trot.
AND MUCH MORE!!!!

Every one of these accomplishments happened because people chose to get involved—whether by volunteering, becoming a Partnership member, attending events, or supporting our fundraisers.

This year, we're dreaming even bigger because Curiosity Grows Here. 🌱

At CFCI, every volunteer helps make our school a better place. Whether you’re helping in the classroom, serving as a room parent, or volunteering at a Partnership event, your time has a lasting impact on our students, teachers, and school community.

Each month, one lucky volunteer will be selected to enjoy a special lunch with their child on the last Friday of the month!

Here’s how you can earn entries:

⭐ Volunteer in the classroom = 1 entry

⭐ Volunteer at a Partnership event = 3 entries

⭐ Serve as a Room Parent = 5 entries

The more you volunteer, the more chances you have to win!

But the greatest reward isn’t the drawing—it’s the smiles you create, the memories you make with your child, and the difference you make for every student at CFCI.

Because We Are the Partnership, and everyone has something to contribute.
