Whiteface ski resort offers skiers and riders the greatest vertical east of the Rockies. Its steeps are legendary, its cruisers are lengthy, its beginner program is trademarked and guaranteed for success and its youth offerings are family-friendly. Whiteface is part of the Lake Placid portfolio of winter activities that also includes bobsled and luge rides, ice skating, hockey, ski jumping, concerts and more. The sum total is what we call the Winter Sports Capital of the World, and it's where idleness is not an option.

Dreaming about all this rain coming down as SNOW... ❄️👀

Winter is on our minds here at The Face, and it won't be much longer now! We're anticipating opening for the 2026/27 Season the week before Thanksgiving, weather and conditions permitting ⚠️

As always, we'll keep you posted as we get closer. Until then, think winter! 🤘❄️

The Cloudsplitter Gondola is running this Friday through Monday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM for its final weekend of the season.
There's no better way to take in the foliage than to glide up through the canopy and take in all of the incredible views from the top of Little Whiteface!
