🐾💙 October is National Principal Appreciation Month - Thank you, Ms. Larson for being intentional in your leadership and for making every day matter for our Bulldogs! 🐾💙

🐾 Rufus is here with a school bond rundown!

On November 3, New Hanover County voters will consider a proposed $320.5 million school bond.

If approved, projects would include:
🏫 New Hanover High renovations, replacement schools for Trask, Mary C. Williams, and Pine Valley, plus a Porters Neck classroom addition.
🔧 $20 million for districtwide building systems, primarily HVAC.
💻 $10 million for technology.
🔒 $10 million for safety and security.

What about Blair? NHCS says every school would benefit from districtwide investments, even without a major construction project. 💙

The estimated property tax increase is $5 per year for every $100,000 of assessed value. That’s about $20 annually for a $400,000 home. This estimate includes anticipated New Hanover Community Endowment funding.
