🤟 Building a future where every child belongs.
This week reminded us why Darden-Perry Academy exists. Every conversation, every connection, and every opportunity to advocate for bilingual education brings us one step closer to making our vision a reality.
Darden-Perry Academy is a tuition-free public charter school dedicated to serving students through an innovative ASL-English bilingual-bimodal dual-language educational model.
Our Mission:
Darden-Perry Academy’s mission is to provide rigorous academics through an ASL-English bilingual-bimodal Dual-Language instructional framework.
Our Vision:
Darden-Perry Academy’s vision is an inclusive school community where all students are prepared for future academic, social, and civic success.
We believe every student deserves the opportunity to thrive in an environment where language, communication, inclusion, and academic excellence go hand in hand. Together, we are building a school community where Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing students learn with one another—not separately—and where every child is valued, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
Together, we’re building the future—one student, one language, one community at a time. 💙🤟

What an incredible week! I had the opportunity to attend two outstanding conferences, meet so many inspiring people, and expand my professional network. I’m grateful for the new connections, fresh ideas, and meaningful conversations.
I’m returning home this weekend feeling inspired, motivated, and excited for what’s ahead. Safe travels to everyone heading home!

Day 3 of the National CEC Leadership Conference was another great day of learning! I gained valuable insights on delegation, recognizing bias, effective communication, and leadership.
After the conference, I explored Washington, D.C., visited the Starbucks staffed entirely by Deaf employees, saw the CODA Apartments, and enjoyed experiencing more of the Deaf community.
Loved every moment! 💙
