Cate Williams represented Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) as the state recipient of the Billy Michael Award National WW2 Museum in New Orleans this past weekend. Brandywine High School Brandywine School District University of Pittsburgh

One of my favorite nights of the year is the celebration of all 20 District Teachers of the year and the naming of the new State Teacher of the Year. Such a special evening with Ashley Lockwood Jahsha Downer-Tabron Pinky Pi Jinni Forcucci Sandra Denney Hall Amber Augustus

It’s so special spending any time with my fellow Delaware Teachers of the year. We have a special bond few can understand in DE.

We welcome Appoquinimink’s 2024 DE State Teacher of the Year Cory Hafer to the family. I can tell you will represent the state well this year. Huge congratulations!

And additional congratulations to our 2024 district winners including special cheers for my friend Woodbridge’s Stephanie Sharp and Brandywine School District Dr. Nader Makarious Nader Mak and Red Clay Schools Dr. Angela Morrow.

What an honor it was to present at one of my alma maters about challenges and successes for high school ELs. Then I spoke at the DELLTA meeting. And then, yesterday I was honored to present at the Delta Kappa Gamma conference. Busy and so honored to represent.

Perhaps one of the best experiences I’ve had as TOY has been to host a discussion with my oldest brother Chris Stock. We talk about teaching in this storycorps conversation. I learned new things about my brother. This conversation was to honor all of the amazing teachers out there. We see you!
