April N. Johnson, M.S.
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, at Goldey-Beacom College (GBC), has allowed me to combined criminal justice scientific research methods, with business literature to apply business and management tools for the positive advancement of business operations. I am passionate about making my mark on the world and implementing positive global change within the social justice field. As a student in the DBA program at GBC, I have had the opportunity to build connections and those connections have helped me to facilitate efforts to implement solutions to combat social justice issues.
I choose GBC, DBA program over other universities because GBC's values and mission correlate with my mission to create systemic change and to make a positive impact on the business field.
I am honored to be a DBA student at GBC! I am the first one in my family to attend and graduate from a college or university and the DBA program has allowed me to continue to break barriers, as this academic achievement is not given too many. Through the rigorous academic learning that the DBA program has provided, it has allowed me to gain greater expertise in the business management field and business operations.
GBC, DBA program aligns with my versatilities to build upon leadership, global change, and decision making. Because of the DBA program, I can now consider new insights and solutions on practical problems that can transform my industry and the business industry collectively.
Respectfully,
April N. Johnson, M.S.

I have decided to pursue the Doctorate Degree at GBC because this program offers the best opportunity, for professionals from various backgrounds who aspire to become successful leaders and make an impact in their business fields.
The structure of the program allows us to complete the degree while professionally invested in a career and busy life and this has been a great prospect for us to apply the knowledge and experience from the studies to our working environment. The final projects from each class are collaborations with businesses and organizations in the area and the results of the research are presented as solutions to their business challenges. This has been a great way to learn and further enhance our problem-solving, leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. The support from the staff has been exceptional every step of the way. The classmates and the professors are outstanding professionals from various fields and it is the diversity of this community that has contributed the most in making this journey remarkable.
I am very confident to say that the decision to enroll in the DBA program at Goldey-Beacom has been the best academic choice and I look forward to becoming a successful and proud GBC alumnus.
