What a beautiful way to begin the school year!

Pastor Kenny Chinn and the church family prayed over our teachers and our school during all three services this morning. What a blessing to be surrounded by a church that believes in the power of prayer and faithfully covers our school community!

Pastor prayed for protection, provision, wisdom, strength, and God’s continued guidance over our teachers, students, families, and school.

We are stepping into this new school year covered in prayer and trusting God for all that He has in store. What a privilege it is to serve Him together!

Welcome to the NSCL Family, Mrs. Alex Schaivone!

We're excited to welcome Mrs. Alex Schaivonne to Northside School of Christian Leadership as our First Grade Teacher Assistant!

A lifelong Wilmingtonian, Alex grew up in a family with deep roots in Southeastern North Carolina and has called Northside Church her church home for most of her life. A self-proclaimed “teacher’s kid,” she knew from an early age that education was where she wanted to serve.

Alex earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary English Education from UNC Wilmington. She spent six years teaching high school English in New Hanover County, including Honors and AP English, where she developed a passion for helping students become confident readers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.

After spending several years at home with her two boys, Franklin and Oliver, Alex is excited to return to the classroom and invest in a new generation of learners. Her love for teaching, encouragement, and passion for helping students reach their potential will be a wonderful addition to our First Grade team.

Alex and her husband, Nick, have been married for ten years. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
