We are told if you don’t "get" your child when he is young and ‘make’ him into a Christian, then you’re going to miss him, and he’s not going to be saved. We face serious pressure to be perfect parents, raising perfect kids. Social media always telling us we need to be doing more, maybe even friction from our own families in how we parent. Above it all is our concern for our children's earthly and eternal welfare, which we believe is all our responsibility. But if it's on our shoulders to get our kids to heaven....

Then salvation is not from God.

So what’s happening is we’re pushing salvation and bringing children into a false security, and telling them that they’re saved because they prayed a prayer. It is the Holy Spirit that saves souls, and while this fact does not exonerate parents from all liability, it certainly does lighten the burden.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who faithfully invest in the lives of the next generation.

God’s Word places tremendous value on the role of fathers. Throughout Scripture, fathers are called to teach, lead, encourage, and pass on a legacy of faith to their children. One of the clearest reminders of this responsibility is found in Deuteronomy:

“These words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children…” – Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Today, we honor the men who strive to lead their families with wisdom, integrity, and a love for the Lord. Thank you for the example you set and the lasting impact you make each day.

The Library Legacy Project is well underway!

The students had some specific updates for the space:
-remove a wall to create a more open space.
-install a new “half-glass” steel framed door with security glass.
-a transom window on the back wall to allow natural light.

Thanks to Ken Eason, Rob Strickland, and the crew in the pictures, the library is on schedule for its grand opening at the beginning of the new year open house.
