Each year, PIC provides vital support to children and youth with disabilities and special healthcare needs—offering consultations, trainings, and guidance that help families navigate complex educational and medical systems. As Delaware’s primary educational resource for families, caregivers, and youth with a wide range of disabilities, we are uniquely positioned to meet the growing needs of our community.
Many of the families we serve face additional barriers such as economic challenges, language differences, and cultural hurdles that can make advocating for their children overwhelming. Now more than ever, families rely on our dedicated staff for IEP support, document reviews, one-on-one advocacy, and resource navigation.
✨ This year alone, PIC supported 5,509 parents, caregivers, youth, and professionals through consultations, trainings, online learning, and outreach.
On this Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your support so we can continue empowering families, breaking down barriers, and ensuring every child has access to the education and services they deserve.
