We had a very special visitor today-- a great horned owl! He visited us from the River Trail Nature Center and we had a chance to learn about him, and many other birds of prey.

When Ms. Pemberton brings her camera, she takes at least one thousand photos! Sorry for the delay in posting our photos from the trip, but here are the very best ones. We had near perfect weather and enjoyed the engaging and hands-on courses! This was the perfect way to wrap up our ecology unit with the whole grade.

Creating artistic food chains!

The first few weeks of fourth grade have flown by for us, and so will the rest of this season. We have spent a lot of time getting to know one another and our classroom. We are dipping our toes into our 4th grade learning a little bit more every day and working hard!

Today, Amazon's Alexa and game buttons helped us review our multiplication facts at the end of the day. The kids were so engaged by the trivia style game, and also so encouraging of one another! We can't wait to use Alexa for more review throughout the year-- especially since Ms. Pemberton can create her own games through it!
