Back to School Night was a wonderful opportunity to welcome families back to Regina Dominican, connect with teachers, and celebrate the Panther community that makes our school so special.

A highlight of the evening was honoring two members of our Regina family, Annie Tully ’92 and Conan Kisor, as the recipients of this year’s St. Martin de Porres Award.

Presented annually, the St. Martin de Porres Award recognizes senior parents whose dedication, generosity, and service have made a lasting impact on Regina Dominican High School. Annie and Conan exemplify the spirit of this award through the many ways they have supported our students, faculty, and community.

Thank you, Annie and Conan, for sharing your time, talents, and Panther pride with Regina. We are grateful for all you do and proud to celebrate you!

A special thank you to our Regina Dominican Booster Club for grilling dinner and helping make the evening a welcoming and delicious one for our families, faculty, and staff.

Thank you to everyone who made Back to School Night such a special evening. We are looking forward to a wonderful year together!

Alumnae Spotlight: Maggie Kevin '22 💙

From Regina Dominican to Auburn University and now representing some of the biggest brands in the power tool industry, Maggie Kevin '22 is putting her education and experiences to work in exciting ways!

After Regina, Maggie attended Auburn University, where she studied Business Analytics and was actively involved in Women in Business, Women in Technology, the Association for Information Systems, Delta Zeta, and served as a Peer Advisor for the Harbert College of Business.

Today, Maggie is a Sales and Marketing Representative at Techtronic Industries, where she works with major brands including Milwaukee Tool, Ryobi, and RIDGID. From product merchandising and demonstrations to promotions and hands-on projects, Maggie is building a career filled with opportunity and innovation.

We love seeing where our Regina alumnae go and all they accomplish along the way. Congratulations, Maggie! Keep leading, building, and making your mark! 🐾💙

20 upperclass peer leaders hosted a lunch with their freshman little sisters this week!

Following last week’s freshman retreat, our newest Panthers were invited to lunch by their peer mentors—creating another opportunity to connect, ask questions, share experiences, and build relationships.

From navigating the school calendar to answering questions about clubs, sports, and tryouts, our peer mentors are a trusted resource for our freshmen. But their role goes beyond the logistics. They are there to welcome, encourage, listen, and make sure every freshman knows she has someone in her corner.

Thank you to our peer leaders for making their little sisters feel welcomed, supported, and part of the Regina sisterhood from day one.

A Retreat Rooted in Our Dominican Tradition

Last Friday, the Class of 2030 headed to Adrian, Michigan, for an overnight freshman retreat and a special visit with the Adrian Dominican Sisters() .

Our newest Panthers spent time learning about the incredible women who founded our school and discovering the rich Dominican tradition that continues to shape the Regina Dominican community today.

Through reflection, connection, and time together, students explored what it means to be part of a Dominican school and how they can carry our mission of prayer, study, service, and community into their own Regina experience.

A meaningful beginning to their journey as Regina Panthers—and a beautiful opportunity to connect with the roots of who we are.

Yesterday, our Regina Dominican community gathered for our Back to School Mass, led by our school Chaplain, Father Peter Wojcik, with senior Anna P. ’27 serving as cantor.

On the Feast of St. Monica, Father Peter reminded us of the importance of patience as we begin a new school year—a timely reminder to trust the journey, give ourselves grace, and support one another along the way.

We also celebrated and prayed over our Dominican Preachers for the 2026–2027 school year. This year, we are proud to welcome a record 53 Dominican Preachers, who serve the liturgical needs of our student body and help bring our Dominican tradition of prayer and community to life.

What a beautiful way to begin the year together. Prayer. Study. Service. Community. 💙

Regina Girls Lead—wherever their journey takes them!

We're proud to spotlight Vera Yablonicky '25, who is already making an incredible impact as a neuroscience major at Furman University!

This summer, Vera completed an internship through the DENDRITES program at the University of Chicago Neuroscience Institute, where she researched whether a mutation in the ATP1A3 gene causes splicing. Her lab is the first to study this particular variant at intron 2.

Beyond the lab, Vera gained valuable clinical experience in pediatric neurology and developed skills in cell culture, PCR, pipetting, and other laboratory techniques.

At Furman, Vera is also a member of the Collaborative Neuroscience Club, an officer in the Catholic Club, and hosts weekly service at a nursing home on campus.

These experiences have strengthened Vera's passion for neuroscience and her goal of attending medical school.

Congratulations, Vera! We can't wait to see where your curiosity, determination, and Regina education take you next.
