Almost forgot: As promised, we got more of our White Texas Star hibiscus potted up this morning. Give them few weeks and they be ready to go . We can never seem to keep enough of them and some of the garden centers usually grab them up shortly after potted. Just want y’all to know they did exist lol .
We still have plenty Red Texas Star 1 gallons ready . Both of these are great native perennials and cold hardy .
1 gallon will be $5.00 and also did some 2 gallon as well for $10.00.

Nothing better than seeing all those new bloom buds growing . Look at all these buds on our Sadaharu Oh Camellias 1 gallons . These buds will open to a gorgeous rosy red bloom with white edging , such a stand out in the garden . This Camellia can also be recognized by its beautiful foliage . The shiny leaves kinda have a wavy curve to them . Pollinators will also appreciate those golden yellow stamens too .
Sadaharu oh Camellia is from local plantsman Bobby Green from Fairhope , Alabama. This one was registered in 2012 . Sadaharu oh is named after the famous baseball player . He is known as the Babe Ruth of Japan .
These enjoy a partially shaded spot in the garden and usually get about 10’ tall .
Our 1 gallon Camellias are $10.00 and our 3 gallons are $20.00.
Two of our Camellia houses are open and plenty of have Camellias ready . The other three houses are not ready yet but will post when the open for sale .

I love azaleas that seem to always have some blooms . Rhododendron oldhamii - is an evergreen Taiwanese azalea . These will continue to bloom through the summer and fall . These only get about 4’ tall so somewhat dwarf . Blooms are a salmony (orangey red )but really look dark today .
I love odd plants that have been around forever and do great in our area but still somewhat unusual.
Well if I don’t post them for sale , I might wind up planting more in the garden . Dare I mention I seen one lonely Koromo Shikabu azalea 1 gallon still hiding and blooming in there this afternoon too .
Anyhoo 1 gallon are $5.00 and 3 gallon are $15.00.

These guys in a 2 gallon pot are getting too big and they keep blowing over , so they are also on special tomorrow for $5.00 each .
Hummingbirds and other pollinators enjoy their red tubular blooms . Another cool thing about these plants is their foliage … green on top and purple on the bottom .

Saturday special : These 🌼Native Swamp Sunflowers 🌼are growing taller each day . They are full of bloom buds , come get some before Don cuts their heads off . Lol He keeps eyeballing them .
🌼Helianthus angustifolius 🌼 bloom late summer and through the fall . If you cut them off they’ll still bloom later . I’ve put some in a wagon to bring around front and more in the bed to choose from . Our 2 gallon Swamp Sunflowers are on sale for $5.00 each .

It’s that time of year again … the Pink Muhly grass has started showing some pink plumes on the 2 gallons . These are a wonderful native grass . Don’t you just love the way it looks in landscapes ,like pink cotton candy swaying in the wind . I love to see them in a mass planting .
We grow these in a 1 gallon for $5.00 and a 2 gallon for $10.00.

Are you looking for something different in your garden ? Maybe something fragrant and blooms in the winter ?? Then you need a Winter Honeysuckle.
Lonicera fragrantissima or what I like to call the Fruity Pebble bush . Kiss Me at the gate or First Breath of Spring are a few other names . These make a beautiful arching shrub that put of white and yellow blooms along the stems . Full sun or full shade , they will grow in either spot .
We grow these in a 3 gallon for $15.00. They are big boys too , so instant gratification when planted . 😉

Grape Gumball Bee balm are getting big and ready to get in the ground . We’ve been blessed to have some good rain lately. These are a selection of our native Monarda didyma , so they do well here . These fill in nicely usually around 2’ tall and wide . Pollinators love these vibrant purple flowers .
Our 1 gallon perennials are $5.00 each . You’ll find these Grape Gumballs in two spots in the perennial house .
It’s our Summer pop up day this evening from 4-6 pm .

Your garden can never have to many Camellias !!
We’ve got some lovely 3 gallon Governor Mouton Camellias available for $20.00 each . These are a beautiful red and white variegated bloom from the 1900’s . Named for Gov.Mouton from Lafayette, Louisiana. He was Governor in the late 1840’s and this one was discovered on his property. This antique Camellia japonica has historical significance and beauty. The red and white petals have an anemone to peony shape . This one is also known to sport off solid red blooms . Those sports have been named Aunt Jetty . I love when plants give off new sports .
Our next summer pop up at the nursery will be on Thursday evening from 4-6 pm . We’ve been enjoying these cooler evenings for shopping .
