Our two new Flemish giant girls! Hazel (black) and Mavis (gray) will make babies for harvest, when they are of breeding age.

Daisy Mae (white) is currently raising 4 buns, she is a great first time mom. Daisy Mae is a mixed breed rabbit.

Rabbits are a very efficient source of protein. They are fast growing, require minimal space and are easy to care for. We raise the harvest rabbits to about 4 months before they fill the freezer.

The mommas, babies and Dallas are enjoying their new paddock full of forage and more activities! I think Mirada is thrilled by the jungle gym area! We want to add more entertainment for the goats but it’s a start and much more exciting for them than the birthing pen!

Those farms who are monetized: do you have a website? If not do you feel like you miss out on customers due to not having a website?

I bought our domain but I just haven’t had the time or ability to build our site. Frankly, with being a mom, wife, running the business aspect of our farm including much of the manual labor and working a remote nursing job, I just don’t want to take on anything else but I want to make sure we aren’t making a mistake doing that. Your insights would be greatly appreciated! I should add, we do sell physical products and livestock from our farm as well as have a farm stand.

Lyra decided to pass her respiratory illness to everyone in the house and of course I have it the worst so this is the second day I’ve been out of commission. It’s way too busy a time of year for this crap so I’m doing all the things to kick it (mullein tea, oregano oil and olive leaf extract and lots of rest.)

We have to get everyone up and going again because we have so many things to finish before we go to Texas next month and pick up Lena’s service dog! A sneak peek of her Luna girl, isn’t she beautiful?!

We take a break from farm work every once in a while and this Saturday it was to support a great cause! Lyra (our cross country runner) ran it. Lena ran some but threw in the towel about 2/3 in so we got a ride to the finish line and Kyle walked it but we all had a great time!

Our youngest is getting a service dog that I am wanting to start on, at least a partial, raw food diet and start switching the other 3 dogs over. If you have any tips or resources for education drop em in the comments!
