We had an awesome hands-on week at Marcus Construction! We built a shed that was auctioned off for $3,800 that will go towards scholarships for our students, we got to spend a day learning about the electrical trade with Willmar Electric Service, Corp., and we had a field day getting to operate equipment and welding.

Great experience for all!

This is a really nice shed our class is building, help us raise more scholarship money by spreading the word to get the bids higher. Currently it's at $2,000. Thanks!

The students thoroughly enjoyed their time with the West Central Steel Inc team. Thank you to everyone on your team for taking their time to teach and answer questions. Very cool experience!

We had a great 8 days at West Central Steel Inc . We learned about programming parts, handling thousands of pounds of steel with a crane, running lasers, plasmas and press brakes and welding. It was a fantastic 8 days.

We're at $1,250 going toward scholarships, help us push this higher!

This year we have an awesome project planned for the Willmar MAP Class where ALL proceeds will go towards MAP Class Scholarships so please get involved!

The MAP students, guided by our construction experts will build this shed. A large portion of the materials have been graciously donated by Perkins Lumber Co. Inc. of Willmar, thank you Perkins!

Our hope with this shed is to sell it to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going to scholarships for these students going into trade related careers. The shed will be ready for pick up the week of October 10th. If you are interested in bidding, please message us on Facebook or send an email to [email protected] regarding the MAP shed. The suggested starting bid is $1,000…please spread the word and start the bidding!

A big thank you to Duininck Concrete LLC for the time spent with the Willmar MAP Class last week. Every hands on opportunity could open a new door for these students and we appreciate the businesses that take the time with them.

This morning was signing day...the 2021 MAP class worked their tails off with hands on, trade related experience the past 60+ days and we celebrated them this morning with breakfast and signing posters of the mikeroweWORKS S.W.E.A.T. Pledge.

Awesome group of students with a hard work ethic and a bright future ahead of them! Congratulations to each of you!

What a great 8 days with West Central Steel Inc! We learned about how steel is distributed and made into parts for manufacturers all around the 5 state area. Forklifts, cranes, plasmas, lasers, press brakes, saws, welding and sales were some of the big areas we learned about.

We even got to see how Felling Trailers, Inc. are made. Thank you Felling Trailers for the great tour!
