We’re keeping the National School Lunch Week celebrations going with a crowd-pleaser: the nacho bar!

Today’s lunch features whole-grain tortilla chips topped with beef taco meat and cheese sauce, plus refried beans, romaine lettuce, and chilled applesauce on the side.

A delicious combination that brings plenty of flavor to the school day! ❤️🖤

Today’s lunch featured homemade lasagna, garlic toast, Caesar salad with dressing, fresh cucumber slices, and cantaloupe cubes.

We’re celebrating National School Lunch Week with a fresh look at what’s on the menu at Willmar Public Schools! Today’s Farm to School meal features ingredients sourced from local farms. 🌱

Students enjoyed popcorn chicken with seasoned brown rice, steamed broccoli, fresh baby carrots, and a fresh, locally grown apple!

We love bringing fresh, local foods to our Cardinals! ❤️🖤

❤️🖤 What a week to be a Cardinal! 🎉

From assemblies and pep fests to Senior High Homecoming Royalty, sports competitions, and the pep band parading through our buildings, Homecoming 2026 was full of school spirit, Cardinal pride, and unforgettable memories!

A huge THANK YOU to our students, staff, families, and community for making this such a fun and successful Homecoming week! We love seeing our Cardinal community come together to celebrate what makes Willmar special. ❤️

❤️🖤 Cardinal Pride was on full display at the Homecoming Pep Fest! 🖤❤️

From hilarious wig-snatching and table-rolling races to Cardinal cheers, grade-level Tug of War, and a whole-school Cupid Shuffle, our Senior High brought the energy and had plenty of fun! 🕺💃📣

And then came the ultimate showdown: Seniors vs. Teachers in Tug of War! 💪

❤️🖤 Homecoming Friday Recap! 🖤❤️

We wrapped up Homecoming spirit week with a sea of Cardinal red, black, and white! ❤️🖤🤍

Our Homecoming royalty and fall sports captains, joined by the Senior High Pep Band, made their way through our elementary schools and Middle School, where they were greeted with plenty of cheers and smiles from our students! 📣🥁👑

What a fun way to bring the entire district together and finish out Homecoming week! 🎉

From sweet corn and apples to cheese curds, potatoes, chicken and Minnesota-raised beef, our Food & Nutrition Department works with local farmers and producers to bring more locally sourced food to our students. 🌽🍎🥔🐄

Our Farm to School partnerships help connect students with the farmers, producers, and foods right here in our community — and there’s a lot more to the story!
