Our Medical Assistant students had the opportunity to participate in Ignite Your Future, giving local high school students a hands-on glimpse into the exciting world of medical assisting!
Visitors had the chance to explore several interactive stations, including:
Vital Signs: Learning about blood pressure and even listening along using double-headed stethoscopes!
Vision & Color Testing: Trying out vision screenings and Ishihara color vision testing.
Hearing Screenings: Exploring how hearing is evaluated.
Phlebotomy: Getting a closer look at blood draws and checking out our vein finder, which was a huge hit!
Patient Care: Meeting our pediatric and adult manikins and seeing some of the technology used in our hands-on training.
We are so proud of our MA students for sharing their knowledge, demonstrating their skills, and representing our program!
Who knows? We may have inspired a few future Medical Assistants along the way!
