Today’s lunch was a delicious Asian chicken salad with a variety of fresh toppings and dressings! 🥗

Many of our fruits and vegetables are grown locally by farms in our community and from our very own school garden, bringing fresh, nutritious ingredients straight to our students.

A big thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for always preparing healthy, tasty meals! 😋

Meet the 2026-27 WCS High School Theater Arts crew! 🎭

We're excited to introduce the students who will be representing our Theater Arts program this year: Dimitri, Emely, Jadrian, Luna, Miles, Owen, Scone, Sol, and Sterling.

Students in Ms. Chenelle’s 7th Grade Social Studies class brought Ancient Rome to life by role-playing and recreating the Roman Games. It was a fun, hands-on way to learn about Roman history! 🏛️

The High School Theater class recently played in a game called Minefield! Working in pairs, one student was blindfolded while their partner used clear stage directions and communication skills to guide them safely around obstacles.

A fun way to build teamwork, trust, and theater skills! 🌟

Fresh from the garden! 🍅🌽🍉

Students recently harvested tomatoes, corn, and a watermelon from the WCS garden. Thank you to Ms. Windy and the Garden Class for all of their hard work and dedication. We are proud of everything they have grown this season!

Students in Mr. Billy’s Friday Academy Cardboard Creations class have been busy turning simple cardboard into incredible creations!

From props and set pieces to imaginative projects of their own design, students are learning creativity, collaboration, and hands-on building skills.

We love seeing their ideas come to life! 📦✨

🔎 History Comes to Life in 6th Grade!

Students in Ms. Chenelle’s history class stepped into the role of archaeologists during an exciting classroom “archaeological dig”! 🪏

Students uncovered artifacts, made hypotheses about what each item may have been used for in the past, discussed their ideas with classmates, and recorded their findings.

🌟 Highlights from Ms. Chenelle's classes!

After a long first Friday, Ms. Chenelle's 6th graders took a well-deserved break outside and played a board game that encourages students to get to know their classmates and build new friendships.

Meanwhile, our 8th graders put their critical thinking skills to work as they created “articles” for their class Constitution, discussing the values, expectations, and agreements that will help guide their classroom community this year.

We're excited to see students connecting and collaborating as we kick off another amazing school year! 💜

Summer has a way of reminding us that growth often happens quietly.

As the flowers continue to bloom around our campus, we’re reminded that our students do the same, each in their own unique way, with a little sunshine, encouragement, and care.

We hope you’re enjoying a summer filled with adventure, laughter and time to grow. We can’t wait to welcome our students and families back for another year of learning, friendship, and new beginnings.
