Yesterday at the Redwood Empire Fair Horse Show, the Willits FFA members, Bayleigh Maughs, Kaydance Lopez, Tessa Simpson, and Madison Lawrence competed with passion and skill in showmanship at halter, english, and western events. Their dedication and teamwork were truly impressive to watch as they gave their best in each class. It was a day full of hard work, determination, and the joy of riding, making everyone proud to see them represent their chapter with such confidence and spirit.

Hello everyone!! I am both honored and proud to be the Willits FFA 2026-2027 President. This will be my third year in FFA and I will be a Junior in high school. My SAE is showing market lambs yearly at the Redwood Empire Fair. I have participated in several FFA events including the BIG test, Water Rights, the FFA Creed, and impromptu, but I also plan to participate in Prepared Public Speaking this year. My other leadership roles consist of being the Class of 2028 President, being last year’s FFA Vice President, and a cheer captain at WHS. My goals for this year are to build connections with more people and improve my leadership skills overall. We had a blast at our officer retreat! We kicked things off at Topgolf in Roseville, enjoyed bonfires, and explored Old Sacramento. Throughout the retreat, we set goals for the year and planned some exciting activities. Our officer team also had the opportunity to get to know one another better and build some amazing friendships. We can’t wait for a year full of unforgettable memories! 💛💙

🐑🐐 North Coast Meat Goat & Sheep Show | Eureka, CA 🐐🐑

What a great day representing Willits FFA at the North Coast Meat Goat & Sheep Show in Eureka! Our students brought their lambs and goats to compete, learn, and showcase the hard work they’ve put into their projects throughout the year.

Beyond the ribbons and placings, the experience provided valuable opportunities to improve showmanship skills, receive feedback from industry professionals, and connect with fellow livestock exhibitors from across the region.

We are proud of these students for their dedication, sportsmanship, and willingness to continue learning. Thank you to the families, supporters, and advisors who helped make the trip possible. We learned a lot, had a great day, and represented Willits well!

🐑🐐💙💛
