It's an exciting day for our beginners......... they are allowed to bring home their instruments today! We have coached our beginners over the last 2 weeks, every day, about caring for their cases and their instruments. Here is a quick graphic of reminders for students and parents/guardians. Don't forget to have instruments and materials ready to come back on Monday! Students may enter the building at drop off times to put their instruments back in their band or orchestra classrooms. Teacher contract time starts at 7:55AM and that's when most of our doors are open and some will be open at 7:45AM! Happy practicing!

Due to a conflict, we will be moving to the Bakken Commons Area for our Eckroth Instrument Rental Night. Please enter through DOOR 3. Rental night will go from 5:30PM-8:00PM. If you pre-ordered online your instrument, supplies and book, your presence is not required.

Is your student needing a great flute?!?! Here are two for sale in Williston that are exceptional brands and verified by our band directors! These are best for 2nd year or above flute players but can work for beginners as well. Check them out on Facebook Marketplace!

If you find an instrument on marketplace, please send the link to us so we can give a professional look at them. Questions to ask when looking at used instruments:
What is the brand?
When was the last time it was serviced or cleaned by a music store?
How long has it been in storage?

What to avoid: Instruments that have no visible branding, instruments that are brightly colored, anything that comes with gloves. Ask any of us directors and we can help you out!

Mr. Bisbee and Mrs. Stepan made the trip to Grand Forks for the Poppler's Music Band Reading Session under the direction of composer JaRod Hall and NDSU Bands Professor Daniel Lee! Today, they read and played 58 band pieces! Thank you to Poppler's Music for a fantastic professional development session!
