The Kelly Edwards Elementary School family would like to wish Mr. Owens the very best as he moves into another role within our Barnwell County School District on Tuesday.

Mr. Owens has dedicated 24 years of service to our district, with 22 of those years spent at Kelly Edwards Elementary School. His impact on our students, staff, and school family is something that will never be forgotten.

While we will certainly miss seeing him at KEES every day, we are excited to watch him continue to grow and make a difference in his new role.

We love you, Mr. Owens, and we wish you nothing but continued success!

This school year, our theme is FORWARD!

We’re moving FORWARD with purpose, courage, and determination. Just like a cowboy saddles up for the journey ahead, we are preparing ourselves to face challenges, seize opportunities, and never give up on our goals.

Today, we kicked off the school year with our incredible staff by celebrating together and setting the tone for a successful year ahead! We began the morning with a delicious breakfast generously provided by Williston First Baptist Church. We then gathered for opening sessions led by our principal, followed by a fun and engaging team-building activity that reminded us of the power of collaboration.

As we begin this new journey, we’re ready to ride into a year filled with growth, teamwork, and student success. Together, we’ll continue moving FORWARD, supporting one another, and making a positive impact on every child who walks through our doors.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing faculty and staff for your dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Williston First Baptist Church for helping us start the year with such a thoughtful and delicious breakfast.
