Just a heads up to anyone taking LMNT salts since we know a lot of people who take them as did we.. We stopped taking them awhile back because I discovered a good amount of better options, but recently we found out they had high levels of lead in their product so take that as you will. I don’t mean to upset anyone with this information, I just want people to know the truth.
As some of you know we are pretty strict with keeping our toxic load down and using only natural high quality products but we still have some work to do. We always take a deep dive of research into each product we are using.
One of the first things we cut out were mainstream supplements that you would find in most gyms and supplement stores. Even the “quality” brands like Magnum, 1st Phorm, Garden of life and Optimum nutrition.
Some of the low quality supplements we cut out were whey and casein protein of any kind, pre workout powders, meal replacement powders and anything heavily chemically processed or with added chemicals like synthetic vitamins, artificial sweeteners and colors, and processed sugar add ins that can come in the form of 70 different names.
We realized that you can get all of your workout needs and so many more benefits from a Whole Food diet heavy on fruit and vegetables which both contain anything you need for building strength, muscle and overall optimal health.
There’s a huge health disconnection from the gym and workout scene and we feel and perform so much better once we realized this and stepped away from traditional mainstream supplements.

Foods high in vitamin C reduce the risk of heart disease, lowers blood pressure, fights cancer while boosting your immunity, and it is crucial for your body in order to detoxify toxins out of the system.

Since the vegetables we eat now are far less nutritious than it was 50 years or 100 years ago because of several factors like over-farming that depletes nutrients from the soil, we simply have to eat more to compensate for this.

This is why the juicing is a great choice. The goal of a juicing is to rest our digestive system, nourish it with nutrients found in fruits and vegetables then flush out toxins.

You can use this list to get started with juicing. Juicing isn’t a gimmick but a beneficial practice that will help you improve your health when done right.

A few people recently asked me what I eat on competition day so I’ll just leave a few points here..

If you’re eating candy, rice crispie treats, donuts, pop tarts, Gatorade or any other sugar filled processed garbage before, during, or after your workouts, than you’re hindering your performance and poisoning yourself. Lifting weights isn’t an excuse to eat poison because of the “insulin release”.
Eat fruit instead. Eat it all and as much as you want.

If you’re strength training in Chuck Taylors because you say the flat bottoms are a benefit but realistically you are just worried about looking cool, you’re drastically hindering your performance and overall well-being .
