Licensed Counselors have the opportunity to practice in seven active Counseling Compact states. This means that Counselors living and licensed in one of the active states can receive privileges to practice in the other five states. While many other states have passed Counseling Compact legislation, they must complete administrative and technical work before privileges to practice can be issued. Join us for an opportunity to learn alongside other behavioral health professionals in our state with the purpose of A Legacy That Grounds Us, a Vision that Guides Us. This two-day workshop will allow for professional clinical skill building, instruction on navigating insurance, as well as an immersive keynote presentation designed to help tackle difficult client confrontations.

The Goals for the conference are:

Strengthen ethical and competent practice in all modalities, including digital delivery, by ensuring that documentation accurately reflects client narratives and that services uphold principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, thereby safeguarding the unspoken rights and experiences of all clients.

Enhance the counselor's ability to identify and address unspoken needs across diverse populations and settings, through methods that include interpreting non-verbal cues, symbolic communication (e.g., dreamwork), and understanding unique perspectives in areas like correctional settings.

Cultivate and apply holistic and somatic-informed approaches to facilitate client self-expression and empowerment, recognizing the mind-body connection in promoting wellness, resilience, and addressing unarticulated experiences, while also managing counselor burnout.

Foster a deeper understanding of the counselor's own self-care and professional development needs, including navigating generational differences in supervision, to maintain personal and professional well-being, which is essential for authentically "listening to the unspoken" and empowering clients effectively.

- Trauma-Informed Supervision: Bridging Legacy and Innovation to Support Emerging Clinician
- Beyond Exposure: Building Perinatal Mental Health Competency in Counseling
- Rural Telemental Health: Ethical, Effective, and Culturally Competent Care
- Externalizing the Invisible: Art Therapy Approaches to Mental Load
- The Gut–Brain Axis in Recovery
