โœˆ๏ธ **IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT โ€“ 2026 CHORMAN AIRPORT AIR SHOW CANCELED** โœˆ๏ธ

It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the **2026 Chorman Airport Air Show, Fly-In & Classic Car Cruise-In**, scheduled for Saturday, October 17.

After carefully reviewing the weather forecast, the predicted high winds on Saturday pose unacceptable risks to our performers and fly-in guests. Unfortunately, we are unable to secure all of our performers for Sunday's rain date, leaving us no viable alternative but to cancel.

**Safety will always be our highest priority.**

After over a year of planning and preparation, this was an incredibly difficult decision. We sincerely appreciate the dedication and support of our performers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and everyone who was looking forward to attending.

**All air show activities, including Friday's rehearsal and Saturday's event, are canceled.** Sponsor and vendor refunds will be processed over the coming days.

On behalf of Chorman Spraying and our entire air show team, thank you for your understanding and continued support. We hope to see you at a future event!

I asked the family of Gus Macy, the California Ag Pilot that had the horrific accident in Klamath Falls, OR on August 20th, 2026 if I could provide our industry with an
Update on his hard fight to recover and updates on his condition. Gus is currently under the care of the Legacy Emanuel medical center in Portland, Oregon and their burn unit. Gus sustained major damage to his legs from impact and has undergone several operations in an effort to repair. Burns occurred over 35% of his body. Surgery and graphs are being done in phases . Care of his wounds is non stop. Gus is under 24 hour care. Gusโ€™s family lives 5 1/2 hours away from the hospital so they are staying close to the hospital to provide the constant support Gus needs now. Gus has a long way to go and many issues to repair. Eagle Vistas would like to collect some gift cards to help the family in some small way as they stand by Gus. I can private message a Zelle or Venmo link to facilitate or provide an address for the hospital. Letโ€™s surround Gus and his family with prayers for the strength and endurance it will take for recovery one day at a time. God Bless Gus and his family!

Before an aircraft ever leaves the ground, engineers have spent countless hours designing, testing, analyzing, improving, and solving the problems that make flight possible.

At the Capt Sax Foundation, our scholarships arenโ€™t only for pilots. We support eligible students pursuing education and training throughout the aviation community, including those working toward careers in aeronautical and aerospace engineering.

John had a passion for just about everything related to flight. He earned his degree in Aeronautical Science and one of his goals was to eventually pursue a degree in aeronautical engineering to complement it. He never had the opportunity to reach that goal, but there is something incredibly meaningful about now having the opportunity to support students who are pursuing it themselves.

Beyond investing in our applicants, we see this as an investment in the future of flight. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment of aerospace engineers to grow 8% between 2025 and 2035, with about 3,800 openings projected each year.

Getting there, however, can be expensive. For the 2025-26 academic year, earning a degree in this space can also come with a significant price tag. Depending on the school and residency status, undergraduate tuition and fees alone can range from roughly $50,000 to $150,000 or more over four years.

We know our scholarships may only cover a small piece of that cost, but we hope they can help ease part of the burden for students working toward a future in aviation, and help them get a little closer to the aircraft they may one day design, improve, test, or help make possible.

For those pursuing this path, we hope youโ€™ll apply. Visit the link in our bio to learn more about Capt Sax Scholarship eligibility and upcoming application deadlines.

Given in honor of Capt John J. Sax, USMC.
