The WSC Foundation is a nonprofit agency that manages donations made by community members and alumni to the college and its students.

We identify wise investments, and fund student scholarship, quality faculty, and capital improvements to WSC. The Williston State College Foundation works to keep the college competitive and comprehensive in today’s ever-changing market by developing a strong liberal arts transfer program, advanced science and technology, and technical and trade specialization, while making Williston State a regional center for educational, cultural and recreational activity.

Great things happening at WSC!!

Superintendent Dr. Germundson attended today’s press conference at Williston State College announcing the next two components of the Degree Bridge Program.

He is pictured with Dr. Steve Shirley, President of Minot State University, Dr. Alan Burgad, Interim President of Valley City State University, and Dr. Bernell Hirning, President of Williston State College.

Through this partnership, Minot State University will bring five bachelor completion programs to WSC, including Addiction Studies and Psychology. Valley City State University will offer six bachelor completion programs in Elementary Education right here in Williston.

For WBSD7, this continued collaboration expands access to postsecondary pathways and creates more opportunities to pursue bachelor’s degrees close to home. It supports our efforts to grow our own educators by helping both our students and current staff, including paraprofessionals, earn degrees in a way that works with their schedules as we compete for teachers statewide and nationally.

In addition, programs like Addiction Studies and Psychology help address the growing need for professionals in mental health and substance abuse services, which are critical to supporting students, families, and the broader community.

This work strengthens the connection between our schools and local higher education, supporting student success from K-12 through college and career.
