Our annual Wicked Woods Family Halloween Night returns🌲🧟‍♂️🔥

Join us on Friday, October 30 from 6:00–8:30 PM for an autumn evening of Halloween fun in the woods!
We’ll begin while there’s still a little light left in the sky and enjoy the spooky grounds before darkness settles in…and Wicked Woods comes alive 👻

This year’s evening will include:
🌲 A guided spooky walk with Halloween actors lurking in the woods
🎨 Face painting with Miss Sondra
🔥 Campfire & marshmallows
🎃 Halloween games
🍩 Donut-eating race
🧙 Costume contest & prizes
✨ And plenty of time to gather and enjoy a fall night with friends and family!

Our Wicked Woods walk is meant to be spooky and fun rather than gory or overly scary. Families can decide whether the walk feels right for their children.
Friday, October 30
6:00–8:30 PM
$25 per family $15 per family for currently enrolled homeschool families.

What an incredible experience today for our nature kids and myself 🪶

Standing this close to a red-tailed hawk, getting to hold her, look into her eyes and learn about everything these birds are capable of was pretty amazing. Hawks hold sacred significance in many Native cultures, which made being this close to one feel very special for me.

I went into today thinking we were mostly going to learn about raptor rescue + rehabilitation. And we did! David is a great guy and so knowledgeable- he brought this beautiful 13-year-old red-tail who came into his care through rehabilitation. She’s blind in one eye, and is also a bird he practices falconry with.

Learning about falconry itself left me with questions I wasn’t expecting—particularly when it comes to healthy wild birds that already know how to hunt and survive on their own and their relationship with us humans as their “training partners” 🤔

I definitely left excited, grateful, knowing more… and also questioning more! And I think there’s a lot of value in giving kids experiences that do exactly that. To think always beyond what we are shown, told and taught.

A new season begins

Hi everyone!
After a busy summer and lots of preparation behind the scenes, we’re finally heading back into the woods next week! 🌲

Our Fall homeschool season begins Tuesday, September 15th. The family and I have been spending these last few weeks planning, building, getting our outdoor spaces refreshed and dreaming about everything this new season will hold.
Friday Pine Cubs is officially FULL! We do still have a few openings in our Tuesday + Thursday groups for families who have been thinking about joining us this fall.
Both full-year and seasonal enrollment options are available, so if Sacred Rhythms has been on your mind, there’s still time to reach out before we begin. I’m always happy to answer questions and help you figure out whether one of our groups might be the right fit for your child.

BACK NEXT WEEK!! 🌲🍂👏🏼

I seriously cannot believe our time together is finally here. After a summer of camps, planning, building and getting our space ready, our homeschool kids are coming back!!

Fires to light. Trails to wander. Animals to tend. Things to create. Food to cook. Old friendships to fall back into, and new ones to be made. And plenty of time in between for whatever inspires us 🤎 🪶

This age. 🤎

Awkward, hilarious, loud, wonderfully weird, energetic AF and still very much kids.

What a privilege it is to give them a place where they don’t have to be anything other than exactly who they are.

And this audio… 🥹 “right here, right now” that is the perfect description. All the feels after an incredible week with one of our smaller camp groups- but probably the most immersive week EVER 🥰
