This age. 🤎

Awkward, hilarious, loud, wonderfully weird, energetic AF and still very much kids.

What a privilege it is to give them a place where they don’t have to be anything other than exactly who they are.

And this audio… 🥹 “right here, right now” that is the perfect description. All the feels after an incredible week with one of our smaller camp groups- but probably the most immersive week EVER 🥰

A conversation at Trader Joe’s today got me to a full circle moment ✨

I ran into another small business woman whom I adore 🥰 , and we got talking.. part of the convo I mentioned how this is the final week of summer camp—our older kids. Preteens and teenagers.

Exhausting? Absolutely. 😂 But also freaking incredible!

Because this is such a unique (and let’s be honest, awkward) time in their lives.

And one thing I make very clear here is:

You get to be exactly who you are. No room for nothing but.

Nobody cares about the top brands, perfect hair, cool shoes or whatever else kids feel like they need to keep up with.

For a few hours, they get to just BE.

Outside. Ridiculous. Quiet. Loud. Curious. Dirty. Sitting around a fire. Laughing with people they might not otherwise know and or happy as can be to see their camp friends they saw one year ago!

And while telling her this, I mentioned that I never had anything like it growing up. I carried a lot of responsibility very young. Life was stressful and chaotic. I didn’t have camps or a place where I could simply be free from all of that.

She looked at me and said,

“And now look at how life works. You’re creating that opportunity for these kids.”

Damn. 🤎

I hadn’t really thought about it that way.

Maybe somewhere along the way, I created the kind of place I would’ve needed too.

A safe place to be yourself. And a place children can return to again and again, because nature always feels like coming home🌲 and we sure have alot of NATURE at Sacred Rhythms 🏕️

It’s almost that time of year again… 🍂

In just a few weeks, our homeschool nature program will be back together— watching the landscape change around us as the weeks pass from Summer to Fall.
September temperature changes, colorful leaves and a completely different feel in the woods. There’s always something new to notice, explore, and learn from as we move through the season together🌲

Cooking seasonal snacks over the campfire, learning to build and tend a fire, caring for animals, exploring the woods, working with our hands, trying new things, and discovering just how capable we can be during the vibrant Fall season 🍁

But it’s also the space in between that is my favorite.

The freedom to wander and explore. Time to play. Conversations along the trail. Laughing around the fire and during forest games. Finding your people and building real connections with other kids.

In our nature program, children get to have these experiences on their own—building independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging that comes from having a place and a community that’s theirs! 🤎

We believe there’s so much children can learn when they’re given meaningful experiences, real responsibility, good company, and plenty of time outside 🪵 🐐 🎒 🥾

Real skills. Real confidence. Rooted in nature.

Five days away, and a whole different kind of wild. 🌊🐋 🦭 🦪

Walks from our campsite to the beach. Whale watching. Swimming with seals nearby. Trying oysters. The four of us nestled in a single tent. Meeting up with friends. Really cool shells and plenty of ocean discoveries! 🐚 🦀

And a spontaneous souvenir hermit crab from Provincetown came home with us ☺️

Provincetown itself and camp? Well the kids could have done without the crowds 😂 We were all pretty happy to retreat back into the quiet of the pines in beautiful Truro, walk down to the beach and trade the noise and commotion for sounds of the ocean.

I think that’s part of why I value experiences and new adventures so much—at home, in our programs and when we travel…

Not every vacation is full of perfect moments. Sometimes you try something new, discover something incredible and sometimes you simply figure out what isn’t for you.

Different landscape. New experiences. A really great five days with my boys 🩵

We plan the days. We prepare the grounds and gather the materials. We absolutely have an idea of where we’re headed in the day ahead.

But some of the most meaningful moments are the ones that happen spontaneously.

🪵 The pride of figuring something out.
🪶 Getting completely lost in the work.
🐥Feeling trusted with something real.
🏕️ Finding your place in the woods, with the animals, and among the people around you.

Those are the things I hope stay with our nature kids!

August always feels a little different around here.

The gardens are unkept and totally wild, the days are still filled with summer heat and camp laughter, yet there's a quiet feeling that a new season is just around the corner. It's one of my favorite times of year—a chance to dream, build, and welcome new families into our community

⛺Homeschool Enrollment is Open

Enrollment is officially open for our 2026/2027 year-round Homeschool Nature Immersion Program here in the quiet corner.

Our days are rooted in real experiences: tending animals, building wilderness skills, campfire cooking, exploring the forest, creating with our hands, and discovering just how capable children really are.

If you've been curious about joining us this fall, now is the perfect time to reach out. I'd love to answer your questions and help you decide if Sacred Rhythms is the right fit for your family.

🌲 Something New is Growing...

I've also been quietly dreaming about what's next.

Many of you have asked for opportunities for older kids, and I'm excited to share that I'm exploring a teen program focused on meaningful skills, mentorship, belonging and community.

I'm also considering bringing back our afternoon Nature Group—a relaxed gathering where children can simply connect, play, explore, and grow together outdoors.

Nothing is finalized just yet, but these are both possibilities I'm excited to nurture. If either sounds like something your family would enjoy, I'd love to hear from you.

🍁 Looking Ahead

This fall we're looking forward to it ALL. Coventry Farmers Markets, Pow wows, children's programs designed around more tasty and experimental campfire cooking recipes, woodland adventures, seasonal crafts, stories beneath the trees, and plenty of opportunities for children to build confidence through real experiences..

Kids holiday homeschool market!! So very excited for this new opportunity for our homeschool program. Children intentionally crafting, creating, baking, building and selling their products within our community, for holiday gifting! 🎁

Merch!! Our new logo is complete, and were almost ready to share some new merch opportunities coming September 1st 👏
