Despite the rain, the teachers were unwavering in their commitment to say goodbye to all the students on the last day of school. This cherished tradition spreads love, joy, and good wishes to every student, ensuring they feel supported until they return next year. For the 8th graders, however, the farewell carries an added significance as teachers wish them the best of luck on their exciting journey into high school.
Mrs. Waddell concluded the year by engaging students in two exciting author visits designed to ignite their passion for reading and writing over the summer. Authors Niki Smith and Katie Risor captivated the students with dynamic book talks and hands-on demonstrations on creating graphic novels. They encouraged the students to explore their creativity and storytelling skills. What a wonderful way to inspire them to pursue their dreams!
Mrs. McDonald concluded the year with her Fundraising Project for her 8th-grade classes. This project consistently serves as an excellent learning experience for the students. Everyone in the school—students and teachers alike—attended to view the projects, vote for their favorites, and each received $100.00 to donate to eight different nonprofit organizations

What an exciting way to wrap up the year! The 5th-grade ELA classes undertook a creative diorama project, bringing pivotal scenes from their favorite books to life. This engaging activity not only allowed students to express their creativity but also served as a fantastic culminating experience. We hosted a delightful Gallery Walk between classrooms, where everyone could admire and celebrate the impressive effort put forth by the students.
