Overland offers summer hiking, language, and service trips for 4th - 12th graders.

Now in our 37th year, Overland offers carefully-crafted outdoor, service, language, and writing programs for 4th to 12th graders. Each program has a clearly defined goal: hike to the summit of a mountain peak, bike a coast, reach out to a community in need and learn another language. Add exceptional leaders and small, supportive groups, and an experience of unsurpassed quality results for our students.

Leader Training is in full-swing with our Hiking Training Trips entering the field today! On this four day backpacking trip, leaders are functioning as an Overland group and getting hands-on practice with all the skills they’ve learned thus far. We’ve been so impressed by the energy and excitement coming from our leading staff. We can’t wait for the summer to begin!

We’re excited to launch the Overland Catalog Photo Contest for summer ‘26!!

This summer, each group will work together to take one great photo to submit for the contest. Finalists will be selected by the Year Round Team, and voting will take place on social media in the fall. The top photo will be featured in the Summer 2027 Overland Catalog!
