Word of the Month: TEAMWORK

For our 3–6 year olds, we focus on a different character-building word each month. This month, we’re learning about Teamwork!

We teach our Little Ninjas that “working together can be fun in order to get things done!”

Learning to share, help others, listen, and work together are skills that are necessary for every day life. We are helping Williamstown shape the next future world changers one ninja at a time!

One of the things we value most at Garaguso Karate is teaching confidence. Not only when it comes to self-defense, but also in everyday life—including public speaking and being comfortable in front of others.

This is a snapshot from our beginner program. These students have only been training for a few weeks, and they’re already being encouraged to step up, speak in front of the class, and lead everyone through stretching at the beginning of class.

It may seem like a small thing, but these are the moments that help build confidence that lasts far beyond the dojang.

Don’t forget, this Saturday at 9:30am we’ll be holding our 1st Annual Jean Marie Griffin Memorial Workout, followed by some snacks and refreshments here at the school.

We would love for YOU to come be a part of it.

You do not have to be a current student—or have ever been a student at Garaguso Karate—to attend.

If you knew Mrs. Griffin or the Griffin family in any way, we would truly love to see you. And if you didn’t know her but would like to come out, pay your respects, and be a part of the GK family as we surround the Griffins with love and support, you are absolutely welcome.

We’ll be doing the one thing Mrs. Griffin loved most at the school… working out together.

The workout itself will not be overly difficult. This is really about bringing current and past families, friends, and members of our community together to honor Jean Marie, share some time together, and then hang out and enjoy some refreshments afterwards.

Everyone is welcome. It’s completely FREE, and you do not need to be a student to attend.
Please share this post and help us spread the word. We’d love to have as many people there as possible to honor Mrs. Griffin and show the Griffin family just how much they mean to our GK family!
