Hello, PMMS Family, and welcome to the 2026/27 school year! Now that we are back in the groove, we have something to say.

To our amazing custodial staff:
Thank you for all of your hard work this summer, making our school sparkle! YOU ARE AWESOME. Thank you for ensuring our school is a space we can be proud of each and every day.

To our administrators, educators, and other support staff:
Thank you for the preparation you have put into welcoming our students, wasting no time getting down to business. Less than two weeks in, our students have already learned so much. The rapport you have already built with these kids is inspiring, and we know they are in excellent hands.

Here's to a fantastic 2026/2027 school year! Working together, we can ensure it is our best year yet.

National School Nurses Day was Wednesday, but we think Nurse Robin Crawford should be celebrated everyday. Whether she is treating injuries, assessing illness, administering medication, or helping students manage chronic conditions, Nurse Crawford stays on top of our student health needs with her special rapport that is just right for our Palmetto Middle School family.

This week we were given the honor of serving our amazing staff. Thank you to all of our families that took part in our Texas Roadhouse fall fundraiser, as your participation raised this extra treat. We have the most amazing group of educators at PMMS, and every person in our building makes a lasting impact on the students (and adults) they come in contact with every day. Thank you all for changing lives for the better!

(Also, someone has to fill us in on why some of our educators are carrying balls. 🤔)

Crazy busy? Overwhelmed? A little forgetful? Us, too!

Maybe you have some tricky folks on your Christmas list and no idea what you're giving them? Do yourself a favor!

If you have not yet done so, fill out this envelope (that may still be in your kid's backpack) and turn it in TOMORROW MORNING to get your Texas Roadhouse gift cards delivered right to the school! Family, friends, favorite teachers and school staff members, the neighbor who feeds your pets when you go out of town... Heck, I'm buying some for myself!

People have to eat, and 10% is returned to the school! So, relieve that shopping stress and give the gift of deliciousness!
