Guess who was seen at Subway today !!? He came to Williamston in 1967 ( we were HS Freshman). He was 25 years years old at that time....full of fire and enthusiasm. He made a difference in the lives of many people as a coach and later as a school administrator. I am certain he would enjoy receiving a greetings card from some of us 71ers...especially the athletes. BTW....when he "smiled for the camera"...he had a mouth full of sandwich !! :) "times...they are a-changing"...

Paul Roberson Williams, 70, of Jamesville, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro.

Born August 19,1953 in Martin County he was the son of the late Paul Hartwell Williams and Rachel Holliday Williams who survives and was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Pierce Williams; granddaughter, Regan Lynn Williams, and loving companion, Connie Connor. Paul retired as a maintenance supervisor with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ. Paul loved his family unconditionally. He was a quiet but caring and compassionate man that worked hard all of his life.

His family includes his mother, Rachel Holliday Williams of Jamesville, NC; sons, Paul Roberson Williams, Jr. and wife Amber of Jamesville, NC and Christopher Wade Williams and wife Rebecca of Jamesville, NC; sister, Valorie W. Sullivan and husband Lynnie of Greenville, NC; brother, Michael H. Williams and wife Lora of Jamesville, NC; grandchildren, Caroline Williams, Eason Williams, Pierce Williams, Piper Williams, Palmer Williams and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Branch Baptist Church with Christopher Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Jamesville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Cedar Branch Baptist Church and other times at the residence.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
