We have had a week packed full of fun and learning at the 97th North Carolina FFA Convention!!

We had students that participated in many competitions, including Meat Evaluation, Milk Quality and Products, Tool Identification, Forestry, and Spanish Creed! Students also got to participate in workshops, where they learned about how to empower others through our leadership, as well as learning all about different meat cuts and practices.

We also got to attend sessions that recognized all of the incredible achievements of chapters across North Carolina, and heard from some incredible speakers along the way. We are so grateful for the opportunity to attend convention and can’t wait for next year!!

Today our chapter had a super awesome opportunity to learn from Courtney Spear with Sun Moon & Bloom florist! She gave our students insight on her path to entrepreneurship, shared advice and taught them some of the floral design concepts! Our students loved the experience and we can’t wait to have Courtney back!

Congrats to the students in Mrs. Deckard’s class for receiving their Beef Quality Assurance certification! Everyone passed their certification test with flying colors today 🐮🐂🎉

The BQA certification program allows students to learn about and implement care and husbandry practices, processing and treatment record keeping, and so much more! We are very lucky to have this opportunity to get students real-world certifications that will help them in their future careers. Congratulations again, students!

Such a fun opportunity for students!!!

🌸 Flower Hour is blooming this spring with Martin County 4-H! Join us on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Martin County Farmers Market for a fun, hands-on floral design workshop.

Participants will learn the basics of floral design and create their own fresh flower bouquet to take home!! Two sessions are available: 9:00–10:00 a.m. and 10:30–11:30 a.m.

This program is open to youth ages 5–18. Participants must be enrolled in 4-H Online. The cost is $10 per participant. The event will be held at 104 Kehukee Park Road, Williamston, NC 27892.

💙 Martin County FFA Awards Ceremony 💛🌾

We are so excited to host our end of year awards ceremony at the Innovation Campus on May 21st, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Join us to celebrate our student's hard work this year, including recognizing CDE team members, LDE contestants, Greenhand and Chapter degree recipients, and to install our new officer team!

Officer applications can be picked up from Mrs. Deckard or Mrs. Emerson at the Innovation Campus. Instructions for degree applications will be posted in the Agriculture Google Classrooms. All of the above are due by 3:00PM on May 15th.

We can't wait to celebrate so many accomplishments this year, and hope to see you there!

Congratulations to our Tool Identification team on getting second place in the Tar Roanoke Federation! The team consisted of Laila Bond, Rosie Ewell, Natalia Chirinos, and Addison Brown. On to States we go! 🐊💙💛
