YOUR FUTURE IS BUILT ONE SCHOOL DAY AT A TIME!

Middle and high school students, here’s something to think about:

Every day you’re in school, you’re building something bigger than your attendance record. You’re building the skills, knowledge, relationships, and opportunities that will help shape your future.

Want to make the team? Show up.
Planning for college or a career? Show up.
Dreaming of a great job and financial independence? Show up.
Still figuring out your future? That’s okay! Show up and explore what’s possible.

Missing just two days a month adds up to 18 days of lost learning over a school year. That’s 10% of the year!

At Martin County Schools, we believe every student has a purpose and a future worth investing in.

Your goals matter. Your presence matters. YOU matter.

Attendance Matters. Every Day Builds Your Future.

Students in Mrs. McIntosh’s Honors English classes have been bringing literature and vocabulary to life through engaging, collaborative activities.

English I students explored symbolism in Animal Farm by designing and building their own windmills, while students strengthened their vocabulary through an interactive Word Wall.

English II students worked collaboratively to research and present background information connected to Things Fall Apart, building the historical and cultural knowledge needed for the novel.

From creating to collaborating and presenting, students are showing that learning English goes far beyond the page!

Early College students in Honors Earth Science built the Geosphere Odyssey, an Epcot-style theme park ride exploring Earth from core to rocks!

Riders begin at Stop 1: The Core Descent, diving straight into the center of the Earth before plunging into Stop 2: The Mantle Churn to navigate through moving mantle currents. Next, they experience Stop 3: The Crust Crash, bursting through the surface right where tectonic plates collide, until they finally reach Stop 4: The Rock Cycle Forge to see how a single rock forms at the end of the journey. It was hands-on learning at its best! 🌍 🎢
