Black Hound Jiu Jitsu Private Session style martial arts classes held in Williamston, NC. I teach self defense, brazilian jiu jitsu, & kickboxing.

Black Hound Jiu Jitsu Club of Williamston is led by Head Instructor Luis R Villafranca who has devoted nearly two decades of his life to training and studying a variety of martial arts. Luis earned the rank of black belt in April of 2023 from Master Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec (4th Degree Black Belt under

Master Renzo Gracie) out of the Silver Fox BJJ school in Saddle Brook, NJ. While Luis is most experienced in Jiu Jitsu, he has also trained and studied Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Judo, Muay Thai, Karate, and Kung-Fu. Luis has also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University in 2012. With a strong passion for learning and self-improvement combined with his background in psychology, Head Instructor Luis R Villafranca feels that martial arts training is one of the most excellent vehicles for growth and reaching one's own limits of their human potential. Regardless of your goals, whether you want to become a professional fighter, or even go as far as winning a UFC World Championship belt one day, or you simply enjoy training combat sports as a hobby, martial arts training will improve your physical fitness level, self-esteem, and mental health all while you learn the potentially live saving skill of self-defense.

Attention Williamston and Martin County... Black Hound Jiu Jitsu is proud to announce it received a huge upgrade to its facility with a beautiful new 144 square feet Dollamur mat. I am absolutely thrilled with this product for two reasons. The first and more obvious reason is the space is now larger. The first picture's mat is 100 square feet versus the new one's 144. After using the new mat for only a few days, my students and I have definitely noticed and appreciated the extra space when training. The second reason why I love the new mat is its tapeless velcro feature as I absolutely despise the maintenance and cleanup that comes with mat tape. I've spent many hours scrubbing glue residue off the mats but never again!

Meet Radley. He is a father to one son. He is a tradesman in the Pipe Fitting and Installation industry. Radley enjoys horticulture and the ocean as well as tending to his fish and aquarium. He also enjoys traveling and staying in shape. Radley has always wanted to learn martial arts but he never had the opportunity. Thanks to my services and the flexible private class schedule I offer, he found that opportunity to begin training and learning. It has been an honor meeting Radley and serving as his instructor.

Meet Ronald. He is a father of four and works as a Senior IT Analyst. He enjoys coaching for the various sports teams his kids play on and also likes hunting, fishing, and playing the banjo for fun. Earlier this year, he decided to resume his martial arts training and learn Jiu Jitsu. It has been an honor meeting Ron and serving as his instructor.

Pictured here is my youth student Aubrey and I during one of her training sessions. She is attacking me with a straight punch with her right hand while simultaneously being defensively responsible by keeping her guard up with her left hand. Congratulations to on the grand opening of his new school . I had a fantastic time yesterday meeting new people and seeing old friends as well. One more thanks again to for making it all happen and creating such a friendly and welcoming gym environment. I am very much looking forward to spending many more hours on the mats.
