STEP Head Start Head Start gives prenatal mothers, children from birth to age 5 & their families the tools they need!

STEP Head Start programs give children from birth to age five and their families the tools they need to succeed in school and in life at no cost to the participants. Highly qualified, trained, and caring staff provide comprehensive services and activities that help children grow educationally, physically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that parents are their child's most important teachers.

We encourage parent participation in all program activities and partner with parents to help children succeed.

Measles is very contagious, but it’s preventable. Getting two doses of MMR or MMRV offers the best protection. If you’ve been around someone with measles, watch for symptoms over the next few weeks, including fever, cough, rash, runny nose, and red eyes.

STEP Early Head Start Home Visitor, Ms. Tracie shared pictures of visits where they explored and compared homemade bubble solution to store bubbles. They made observations on bubble sizes, speed and watched the wind change direction right before their eyes. Ms. Tracie couldn’t help but make her own comparisons to the changes she has seen in all her friends. They are growing and changing so fast, just like the wind. Some will be going onto new learning adventures. And others she will see again in August. 🫧👏🏻⭐️🎉🤗
