There is much more to the sports industry than what happens on the field.
Beginning in fall 2026, Lycoming College’s new sport management major will prepare students for the work behind the game, from marketing and front-office operations to college athletics, community recreation, and nonprofit programming.
Students will explore the business, culture, data, leadership, and psychology of sports while building experience through internships, practicums, faculty-guided research, service-learning, and study abroad. The flexible program can also be paired with a minor or second major, allowing students to shape a path around their own interests and career goals.
Whether they want to manage teams, build brands, lead athletic programs, or expand access to sports in their communities, graduates will be ready to make an impact across the industry.
