This past Thursday, we partnered with the American Red Cross to host our third and fina blood drive of the year! Over the course of this year, we have donated 82 units of blood, (which can save up to 246 lives), and we are so incredibly grateful for those who donated! Also, we created bags for Caitlyn Smiles, a non-profit organization that gives to children in hospitals. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success!

Join us for the final LTHS Key Club Blood Drive of the year on Thursday, May 7th! This is your last chance this school year to make a meaningful impact—just one donation can help save up to three lives. It’s one of the simplest and most powerful ways to give back to our community.

Who can donate?
You must:
• Be in good general health and feeling well
• Be at least 16 years old (16-year-olds need a signed parental consent form)
• Weigh at least 110 lbs
• Not have donated blood in the past 56 days
• Not have gotten a tattoo within the last 6 months
• Have a healthy iron level (check with your doctor if unsure)
• Not be currently participating in a spring sport (check with your coach if needed)

Important reminders:
• Parental consent forms must be paper signed (no digital signatures) and turned in before donating
• Bring a photo ID if you have one

Why donate?
• Receive a $15 eGift card
• Get a free “Life is Good” T-shirt
• Seniors: Donate or volunteer for a chance to earn the Red Cord for graduation 🎓

How to sign up:
• Scan the QR code outside of Mrs. Huertas’ room
• 16-year-olds: Stop by ASAP to pick up your consent form—you must bring it on donation day

Team Lycoming is hosting a Basketball Scrimmage Day this Saturday at Saint John Neumann Regional Academy in Williamsport, and we need your help!

We are looking for a few more volunteers to assist with:
• Scorekeeping
• Refereeing (basketball experience required)
• Medical volunteers (Athletic training, medical professional, etc.)
• General event support

Key Club Monthly Meeting Recap!
Thank you to everyone who came out to our meeting yesterday!
Shoutout to our trivia winners who received a bouquet of lollipops! 🍭
Congratulations to Kristina for being elected the next Lieutenant Governor! We’re so proud and excited to see you represent our club.
We also introduced next year’s Key Club officers! Their positions are as follows:

Lancer Pal Visit to the Elementary School! 📚
Our Key Club members recently took a trip to visit our 4th grade pen pals! Throughout the year, members have been writing letters to these students to help build connections while encouraging reading and writing skills.
This visit was extra special because we celebrated the book Tuck Everlasting, which the fourth graders are currently reading. Our officers even dressed up as characters from the story, and the activities we planned were all centered around the theme of the book!
This pen pal initiative, sponsored by the Williamsport Kiwanis Club, helps strengthen important literacy skills like reading, writing, and letter-building while also giving students the opportunity to form meaningful friendships.
We had so much fun seeing our pen pals in person, and we can’t wait for our next visit in May! ⭐️
